It was a bit of an excessive day yesterday…Chinese food for lunch followed by a pizza bonanza at dinner.  Now I’m seven points over my weekly allotment, but that means I need to kick my exercising into high gear…no waiting anymore and no annoying teenager guest to make comments or snicker.

The title of this blog entry is probably what my name would be if I were a true Native American and not just married to a man descended from Native Americans.  Seriously, it’s been raining pretty profusely in East Tennessee for the last few weeks with a few days here and there of sunlight and lollipops.  My driving for work appears to coinside with the weather…if Anna’s doing some big travelin’…expect the downpours.  Today is no exception…very rainy and some thunder/lightening for good measure.  Puts me in a slightly blue mood and while I intended to follow my diet to the letter my “blues” lead me to getting take out twice today at Long John Silver’s and then at Tomo in North Knoxville.  So, I’m actually not mad about what I ate (I’ve counted it well), I just didn’t want to spend the money.  Amongst trying to eat better, we’re also trying to be budget conscious and eat in more often.  Since we’re preparing for the possibilty of becoming parents (keep praying for us folks, we’re tryin!)…we figured we’d be eating in a lot initially so let’s start preparing.  Also, I am not sure but don’t think you can have sushi while pregnant…oh I’d have a lot to learn before I get pregnant.  So, a blue day today mostly because of the rain.  I will do better with the other committment tomorrow and in the meantime, I’ll be driving in the rain.

PROS> Really ate a lot of filling and yummy stuff today without totally breaking the bank in terms of points!  Yummy, indeed!  PLUS, Papa Murphy’s Pizza was a brand new find for me and the Delite Cheese Pizza rocks hard core for only 3 points per slice!  I mean, this might become a Monday tradition in our household!

CONS> That Archer Farms Citrus bar sucks big booty.  I mean big time.  I mean hard core.  It was like compacted orange rinds.  I ate half and thought I could stomach the rest but I just couldn’t…EWWWWW!  No workout :(





SO FAR, BITTERSWEET NOTES TO 2009

Wow, I feel like the depression truck rolled into town and just dumped a full load on me. Yesterday, I found out that my dear father has been diagnosed with Parkinsons (it is very, very mild, and he is now on medication and made it to his 70s before getting anything like this so that’s a blessing, but…); and now I just find out that some good friends will probably be heading onto greener pastures for livelihood needs and such. I mean I know that it needs to happen for them…but as someone who struggles with intimacy in some ways, it’s hard to have to potentially let another friendship go because we all know that distance leads to more distance and that’s just the nature of things. Ugh. I’m waiting for the third boom in the series (cause you know things happen in threes right?). Urgh.





FIRST NEW YEAR ANXIETY THOUGHT

Okay, I’m trying to keep myself from “making up stories” in my own head; but I think I must have done something to offend one of our friends? I mean, I’ve emailed them a few times and they never respond back. I’m not sure what I’ve done, but I’d be sorry if I knew. Hopefully soon, people will see changes to this blog but I have to figure out someone who understands CSS Style sheets in order to update my blog here. At least it’s something to look forward to. In the meantime, whatever I’ve done…I’m sorry.

PRO> Last day of 2008 and last pig out for 2008.  I intend to meet 2009 with more control but realistically.  I know there will be an occasional pig-out during 2009 but I will prioritize taking care of myself and eating with more sensibility.  I actually feel better when I eat right, so why not keep it up?!
